1. Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings GB 50016-2014 (2018 edition) 10.2.7 Electrical fire monitoring systems should be installed for non fire electrical loads in the following buildings or places: a. Class B and C factories and warehouses with a building height greater than 50m, and factories (warehouses) with outdoor fire water consumption greater than 30L/s; b. A type of high-rise civil building; c. Cinemas and theaters with more than 1500 seats, sports halls with more than 3000 seats, shops and exhibition buildings with a building area of more than 3000 square meters on any floor, radio and television, telecommunications, finance and trade buildings at or above the provincial (city) level, and other public buildings with outdoor fire water consumption greater than 25L/s; d. Key brick and wood or wooden structure ancient buildings of cultural relics protection units. 2. Standard for Electrical Design of Civil Buildings GB 51348-2019 13.5.3 The monitoring points for residual current electrical fire detectors, temperature measuring electrical fire detectors, and fault arc detectors shall comply with the following regulations: When calculating currents of 300A and below, it is advisable to measure them centrally in the low-voltage distribution room or the main distribution room of the substation; When it is above 300A, it is advisable to measure at the port under the incoming switch of the floor distribution box. When the distribution circuit is a closed bus duct or prefabricated branch cable, it is advisable to measure at the port under the main switch of the branch line. When the building is a low-voltage incoming line, it is advisable to measure it on the branch circuit. 3. The power supply incoming line of cultural relics protection units and key ancient buildings with brick wood or wooden structures should be measured at the lower port of the main switch. 13.5.4 The distribution circuit of residual current protection appliances that have been equipped with direct and indirect contact electric shock protection should not have redundant residual current electrical fire monitors. 13.5.5 The end distribution boxes in places such as home appliance shopping malls and wholesale markets that have installed electrical fire monitoring systems should be equipped with arc fault fire detectors or current limiting electrical fire protection devices. The end circuits of storage warehouses, electric vehicle charging facilities, and other places should be equipped with current limiting electrical fire protection devices. 3. Analysis of Difficulties in Architectural Electrical Design and Mandatory Provisions What are the principles for setting monitoring points in the 8.25 residual current electrical fire monitoring system? Answer: The setting of monitoring points for residual current electrical fire monitoring systems should comply with the following regulations: (1) When the setting value of the monitoring point protection switch delay release is 300A or below, it is advisable to set it in the low-voltage distribution room or the main distribution room of the substation for centralized monitoring; When the setting value of the long-term delay release of the monitoring point protection switch is above 300A, it is advisable to set it at the port under the incoming switch of the floor distribution box for detection. (2) When the distribution circuit is a closed bus duct or pre branch cable, it is advisable to detect the port under the main switch of the branch line. (3) When the building is equipped with low-voltage incoming lines, it is advisable to detect them on the branch circuit under the main switch. (4) The main switch for the power supply incoming line of cultural relics protection units and key ancient buildings with brick wood or wooden structures. (5) The residual current action alarm value of the electrical fire monitoring system should be 300mA. The location of monitoring points is crucial in the design of electrical fire monitoring systems. If the design is not reasonable, the false alarm rate will be very high. The setting of monitoring points usually considers two issues: first, the impact of natural leakage current in the distribution circuit on measurement and the impact of natural leakage current fluctuations on measurement; The second is the location where electrical fires are prone to occur. Measures should be taken to offset the impact of natural leakage current as much as possible. The first method is to set the monitoring point on the load side, and the natural leakage current of the main line has no effect on the measurement; The second method is to set the monitoring point on the power supply side and use a residual current action alarm with continuously adjustable lower limit to offset the impact of natural leakage current. But this method is not suitable for distribution circuits with large capacity, long lines, and large fluctuations in natural leakage current. It is still advisable to set monitoring points on the load side. From the perspective of the location where electrical fires occur, the probability of fire occurring on the load side is much higher than that on the power side. In situations where both sides cannot be achieved, it is still advisable to set monitoring points on the load side. The setting of the residual current action alarm value for fire prevention to 300mA is the current IEC standard of the International Electrotechnical Commission. Due to the fact that the distributed capacitance of distribution lines is related to the line capacity, line length, laying method, and air humidity, if the natural leakage current fluctuates greatly, in order to reduce false alarms, it is recommended to install monitoring points at the second level switch inlet of the distribution system (floor distribution box inlet). 4. Design Code for Automatic Fire Alarm System GB 50116-2013 Article 9.1.3: The electrical fire monitoring system should be set up according to the nature of the building and the electrical fire hazard, and the form and installation location of the electrical fire monitoring detector should be determined based on the specific situation of the electrical wiring and electrical equipment. When there is no fire control room and the number of electrical fire monitoring detectors does not exceed 8, independent electrical fire monitoring detectors can be used. Article 9.1.4: Non independent electrical fire monitoring detectors should not be connected to the detector circuit of the fire alarm controller. Article 9.1.5: In places where fire control rooms are set up, the alarm and fault information of electrical fire monitors should be displayed on the graphic display device in the fire control room or on the fire alarm controller with centralized control function. Such information should be distinguished from the display of fire alarm information. Article 9.1.6: The setting of the electrical fire monitoring technology system should not affect the normal operation of the power supply system and should not automatically cut off the power supply.
